It’s like a window on nature living at Palm Mar, every direction you look in there are new wonders to enjoy. This Saturday, 14 August, a special ceremony will take place out in the atlantic just off the coast to honour the 100th anniversary of the birth of French diver and ecologist Jacques Yves Cousteau.
The famous diver has inspired an association to preserve his work worldwide, Mundo del Silencio will be sinking a sculpture of a dolphin 40 metres down into the sea off Palm Mar at 4pm. The sculpture will be lowered to a rock formation shaped like Roque Garcia in Teide National Park.
Divers, snorkelers and fishermen all enjoy the waters around Palm Mar and with Montaña Guaza and Malpais de Rasca to their sides, it’s a constant reminder of the natural wonders of Tenerife. back on land in Palm Mar those same qualities are also very much appreciated by those who choose to live in this sedate area.
